It ought to stand for BullSh!tArchive in my opinion. In most cases (that I've seen), they're larger, more performance hungry, more prone to conflicts and errors, and harder to make edits of. Why in seven hells does anyone bother using BSAs over Loose Files? I understand that Vanilla uses them, but they seem hardly ideal for modding. I've been browsing online for tutorials for a while now, and can't seem to find any relevant information (of how to convert a BSA mod to a Loose Files one) amongst all the tutorials on how to do other similar things. I've found an extractor, and now the question is can I simply extract everything into the same folder structure, and have it work the same way, or would I have to recompile the BSA? if you wish to extract them into loose files. I've gotten into the habit of upgrading textures on a few mods (namely a tattoo pack which I use as a light source on my character), and I wanted to convert it into Loose Files.
